Stepping up my game! "Stepping Time, Stepping Time... Kick your knees up, Stepping Time!"
10 Days Down, 50 Days to go till Disney World, OH YEAH!
Today I met with Kendra again. This small spunky woman is great, and she makes me feel like I can do this. It's odd that such encouragement from a complete stranger should make me feel more validated than from other's I know better. She's sweet and kind, which is good I was super worried that I'd get a trainer that wanted to push me and yell at me :( which would not work for me.
It's a blessing. A blessing I'm paying for every week but still, a blessing.
So today we did comparisons... to see how much I've improved since day 1 to now (day10). Here's some small but feel good status updates:
Standard Plank: went from 20-30 seconds! (this is huge for me, because even 10 seconds feels like 10 seconds of added torture!)
BOSO Ball Russian Twists: went from 15 to 30 seconds! Doubled BABY!
Pushups (modified on wall): went from 12 to 18.
So progress is happening. Today was good to see that; especially since I've started getting a bit discouraged... my home scale is basically showing no weight loss... I'm hoping that's just muscle gain and that theirs weight loss in there somewhere. I'll have to wait till next Tuesday to get a fat% weigh in... (crossing my fingers to see some encouraging results there)
So, today was my required 4th day... which means I can do a rest day tomorrow (or even the entire weekend... I'm still debating how I'll play that.)
So, Learned a few new exercises today, and learned how to operate the recumbent bike; which I'll be adding to my cardio to switch things up now and then. Getting there, slow and steady wins the race to Disney World right?

ReplyDeleteThanks Leah! A recumbent bike is just like a regular stationary bike only that it leans back and sits a bit different so that it's less stress on your knees. Which is good for me.
